My Mac Lipstick collection (1)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hello lovelies,
Long time no see. I am back with a new post of my Mac lipstick collection. My collection is not huge like others and I am slowly collecting them one by one. This is not a bragging post either and most of them are purchased by my own and some are gifted. I have 7 Mac lipsticks right now and Mac is one of my favorite lipstick brands. They have different formula such as matte, cremesheen, frost, amplified, lustre, retro matte ,satin and hundreds of colors to choose from. I will be doing hand swatches below and brief mention of colors and my review. Let's get started. :)

( left to right in shade: Please me, Kinda sexy, Lady danger, Relentlessly red, Lickable,  viva glam Miley cyrus 1, plumful ).

Kinda sexy ( matte )

Kinda sexy is my first ever Mac lipstick and I wanted a nude lipstick back then. Mac website says it is neutral pinky-rose color. On my lips, it shows peachy nude color with red undertone. I did not like how it shows on my lips at first but pairing with smokey intense eyes or gloss on top is better.

Please me ( matte )

Next is the shade, please me. Website says it is muted rosy-tinted pink. I feel like it is warm and mid tone pink and is every day  perfect lipstick for work. I love this shade. It is matte finish like kinda sexy and Mac matte finishes are the most opaque coverage and long wearing. Can be drying for some dry lips. On me, it  lasts 6-7 hours.

Plumful ( lustre)

Plumful is rose plum color and in lustre finish. Different from matte finish, lustre finish has a sheer coverage and glossy as you can see but it can be built up to get full coverage. Pros is not drying and cons is it does not last long and you need to re-apply. I really like this color and I think it suits with all skin tones.

Lickable ( cremesheen )

Next is lickable. Lickable is cremesheen formula and my most favorite formula from Mac. The color is bright blue tone pink. I really like this color and it brightens my face instantly. Cremesheen formula is creamy and has full coverage and slight glossiness. It lasts  4 hours or more on me.

Viva glam Miley Cyrus I ( amplified )

Next is my limited edition viva glam Miley cyrus lipstick. The color is bright pink and it is really pretty on the lips. It is amplified formula and is very similar formula as cremesheen. It is creamy, pigmented and slightly glossy. Wear time is 4-5 hours on me.

Lady danger ( matte )

Next is in the shade called lady danger and is vivid bright coral red. It is one of the most popular Mac lipstick colors and in matte finish. On my lips, it shows more orange than red but I really like this color. I see different colors on different skin tones for this shade. :)

Relentlessly red ( retro matte )
My last lipstick is relentless red and it is bright pinkish coral. It is bright pink on the hands but it shows pinkish coral on the lips.  This color is very similar to Mac " all fired up"  on the tube except all fired up is more pink than relentlessly red. The formula is retro matte and it is the most long wearing formula of all the Mac lipsticks. It is more drying than matte formula and has good coverage. But you need to moisturise your lips first before you apply this. If you want very long wearing lipstick, get this formula and they have other shades too.

Full swatches
Bottom to top- (Kinda sexy, Please me, Plumful, Lickable, Viva glam Miley cyrus, Lady danger, Relentlessly red )

Overall, I think Mac lipsticks are really good  and more affordable than other high end brands. The fact that you can choose the formula you like and availability of so many color choices is really cool too. I hope to try other formulas that I have not tried like satin and frost in future. :)

Hope you enjoy the post and have a great day.

April Favorites!!

Hello,

May is here and that means time for April favorites post. April passed by so fast for me because I took 10 days holidays and went back to Myanmar. It felt so nice to be home again. So, most of my April favorites are products that I bring to Myanmar and enjoy using. Let's get started.

Last month, I bought new Origin skin care set to try. This VitaZing spf 15 moisturizer is within the set.  I really like this moisturizer , it has a nice sheer color and makes the face look brighter. It also has spf 15 so plus point. I really love to use it under my bb cushion during my stay in Yangon summer. I will write a separate review post about origin skin care products that I tried. :)

Next is Iope Air cushion XP. Iope is not sold in Singapore. I bought it from Q0010 I think I have tried Etude house and the face shop bb cushions before but this Iope brand is really good. Mine is in Natural N21. They have shimmer, natural and cover types and shades in N21 (yellow tone ) and N23 (pink tone ) . What I like about this cushion is that it gives light/medium coverage and makes the face glow. You can build up for more coverage. It gives you healthy glowing skin effect without cakey. You can just use translucent powder on top to last all day.  It is very convenient if you don't want heavy make up on your face everyday. I love to use it especially while on travel. The only downside is that like other korean bb creams, they don't have a lot of shades to match darker skin tones.. But if you are NC25 and below, this is a nice BB cream to carry with you.

Next is L.A girl pro conceal concealer. I find this little guy accidentally while I was browsing at Sasa store. I heard some youtubers rave about this concealer before and it is really cheap compared to others. ( less than $10 ) So, I bought it to try. Mine is in shade nude. The coverage is good and is even similar to Mac pro long wear concealer. It is yellow based concealer so it is good to cover dark circles under the eyes but not for brightening purpose. It does not crease on me also. So far, this concealer became my favorite under drugstore category besides collection 2000 concealer.

Next is Benefit Lolli tint. I wanted benefit tints for so long. So, when I was at the airport, I took opportunity to grab Lolli tint and lolli lip balm with duty free price. Lolli tint is purple/ mauve orchid color and beautiful on my skin tone. They have four colors in their tints and I am glad I chose lolli tint. It gives the most natural flushed cheek when you apply with your finger. It lasts longer compared to powder blushes also. I am obsessed with this tint once I got it. You can blend easily with fingers but need to do one cheek at a time and a bit faster. If not, it drys quite fast and will leave stain on the cheeks. I prefer looli tint for cheeks compare to on the lips. It is not pigmented enough to use as lip color alone on my lips. I only use as a base color. Anyway, I love this tint and will grab other colors next time.

Here is the swatch after blend. But the camera does not really show the color though.

My last item for April is Stila kitten single eye shadow (please see the product above in the first pic ). It is in the limited edition Kitten set ( includes eye shadow, cheek highlighter and lip glaze in shade kitten ) that I get from Sephora last month. I love this eye shadow the most in the set because it is creamy, blend able and pigmented. The color is champagne color which is good to highlight on the eye lids and inner corners of the eyes. :)

Bye!

Snail White Cream Review

Hello,

Today, I would like to write a review about a very hot skin care product in Asia ,which is snail white cream.  I saw a lot of hypes about this product in online, facebook , instagram and even from celebrities. So, I decided to give it ago and bought online from kisssg.com. They are authorized dealer for snail white cream. Beware of fake products elsewhere though.  I bought this cream with promotion S$49.30 ( U.P S$58 ).

This is the packaging. White plastic bottle with pump. (50 ml ) On the bottle, it says " formulated with snail secretion filtrate--protects skin from future damage. reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve firmness, brightness and rehydrate the skin." Snail white cream is under licence of NAMU LIFE and made in Thailand.

I like the bottle with pump to come out the cream. Really hygienic and easier to apply.

As it is made with snail secretion, the cream is a bit sticky and tacky but not too much though.

You have to pat the cream on your skin to absorb and it takes about 5-7 mins to fully absorb on my skin. As you can see on my hand, when it is absorbed, the cream is not so sticky and greasy.

Normally, I am not a fan of whitening products as they bleach your skin and makes the skin thinner and lead to future damage to your skin. But I read up online about snail white cream and find the ingredients in it. It does have natural ingredients and does not contain hydroquinone which include in most skin lightening products and makes damage to your skin. Below is the snail white ingredients that I find in bebeblanc.com.sg which is also authorized dealer of snail white cream.

As it includes Ginseng and Ginger root in it, the smell is so awful to me. I don't like both ginseng and ginger smell. Yuck!  The smell stays for long when you apply on your face too. I apply snail white cream continually  for two weeks to test out ( mostly at night only ). I noticed some results once I used the cream only for a few days. It makes my face brighten and some of my dark spots on my face reduced. It makes my face so smooth and even out my skin tone too. I was pleased with the results. Not sure about reducing fine lines and firming though.

I only use it at night because as it is a bit sticky cream, I need to wait a few minutes to apply my primer or foundation on top. I prefer light moisturizer for day time under make up.As it contains exfoliation properties, it is best to apply the cream by patting on the skin. I try rubbing the cream on my face and the small white flakes from my face come out .  It appears to exfoliate your dark top layer of skin to renew/provide a lighter skin color.

To sum up, snail white cream appears to do the job for those who want the lighter skin with natural ingredients. But it is better not overuse it like other skin whitening products.  For me, I will only apply at night every other day once I achieved the results that I want.

Hope you enjoy my review. Bye!

How I keep my long hair healthy~~

I am not a hair professional but I would like to share the tips of keeping my long hair healthy. I have a thick coarse hair since I was young. Taming my hair soft and smooth is always a struggle. But when I grow older and use the right hair products, my hair starts to manage and I am quite satisfied with my current hair condition now. I always dye my hair ( every 6 months ) and straighten yearly.  So, to keep that  ( chemical over used ) hair healthy, I always need to make efforts. Below are the tips that I use to manage my hair.

1. Use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner with natural ingredients
I used to use different kinds of shampoos and conditioners in the market ( you name it ) all my life but they strip my hair after wash and makes my hair dry and dull. But after I found shampoos with more natural ingredients, they change my hair life. Sulfate free shampoos do not make my hair dry or dull and they give my hair color back to life. I am loving Aveeno Active Naturals Nourish + Shine Shampoo and conditioner now. I love it because it has more natural ingredients and do not contain harsh sulfate in it.  Their Pure renewal shampoo is totally sulfate free and I will check out soon. I also love organic shampoo like Avalon nourishing lavender shampoo.
Whatever brand you choose to use, go for the ones with natural ingredients, sulfate free and organic shampoos.

2. Avoid the heat as much as you can
I rarely blow dry my hair unless I am in a hurry after I shampoo. I let my hair dry naturally most of the times. But when I need to blow dry my hair or use straightener/curling tools, i use heat protective spray like Tresemme professional heat tamer protective spray. I spray evenly before I use the heat on my hair. They protect my hair from heat and makes it less frizzy and damaged. If possible, avoiding any heat on the hair is the best.

3. Use leave in conditioner for frizz and tangle free hair
As my hair is quite long now, they always got tangled after I wash my hair. I have to use wide tooth comb and leave in conditioner to solve it. Leave in conditioners are the ones that you use after shampoo on the towel dried hair to keep hair soft and frizz free ( no need to rinse obviously ). It really makes a difference If you have thick and coarse hair like me. I use Tresemme split remedy leave in conditioner- it repairs split ends at the same time while making my hair tangle free.

4. Always use a hair oil or serum
I always use hair oil on my ends after the hair is dry. I sometimes use coconut / olive oil
( cheaper option ) or some hair serums like the body shop grade seed serum  on the ends to give my hair extra shine.

5. Treat your hair with treatment
I always treat my hair weekly with hair treatment at home. There are a lot of good hair treatments out there and they are very easy to use. I just apply treatment evenly concentrating on ends after shampoo and leave about 10-15 mins and wash. It makes my hair so soft and smooth. I also like to do treatment at hair saloons about every 3 months to keep my hair healthy.

Tip: If you don't want to spend on hair treatment, you can use coconut oil as treatment. What I do is in the night before shampoo tomorrow morning, I apply coconut oil ( more on my ends ) generously , make a braid and sleep. The next morning, I wash my hair and it really makes my hair soft. I don't even need to use conditioner.

These are all the tips that I use to keep my long hair healthy. Hope you enjoy. All the products I mentioned are not sponsored and purely based on my own opinion.

March Beauty Favorites!!

Hello All,

I am back. March is ending soon and from this month onwards, I will be posting my monthly beauty favorites. :)  For this month,  I am really loving the products I am going to mention below.

The first product is the body shop Vitamin E face mist. I really like using face mists and they make my face refresh whenever my face feels dry or hot. So, when I run out of my previous skinfood face mist, I bought this lovely face mist. First, I really like this mist because of the rose scent. It is made with rose water. On the bottle, it says can be used for setting your make up also. So, I tried to spray a few times after applying make up and it is really amazing. It makes my make up less caky and lasts longer than usual. I also like to spray this before make up too. Been using this mist for the whole month and I love it. <3

Next is First Aid Beauty (FAB ) eye duty triple remedy eye cream. This product is highly raved by a lot of  youtubers and I have been wanting to try this for long. It is tinted eye cream and have to use with the applicator it has. I love the cooling feeling when I apply this product. As it claims, it really brightens your under eyes instantly. I am not sure for long term effects though. I use this in the morning before my concealer every day now. For people with heavy under eye dark circles, you should try this product.

Next is the old product of mine. I have this Stila , all you need is love blush for a bout a year now. As you can see, it looks so dirty now. To be honest, I bought this blush online because of cute packaging. ( I post instagram pic when I first got it as below ) It is limited edition product for last year valentines' day.  After I got this, I thought the pigmentation is not so great and kinda forget this blush for a while. Just this month, I rediscover this product and try to use with my Real techniques stippling brush. It works amazing together. By using with this RT brush, I can pick up the pigmentation and I just stir the four colors of blush together and use it. I really like how glowing I look when I have this blush on without being look like a clown. It has a bit of shimmer in it and I don't need to use highlighter with this. I have been wearing this blush almost every day for this month.

When I first got the product <3

Swatch of the blush :)

Next is Benefit infamous hoola bronzer. I have quite a number of bronzers in my collection and I am skipping this for long because of the price tag. But I am really glad that I got it. On the pan, it looks really subtle but when I apply this on my face, it works as contour perfectly for my skin tone. I cannot use most of my bronzers as contour, either they are too orange or dark on my skin. But I really really happy that this works for me. I am obsessed with this benefit hoola right now and I will repurchase this when it runs out. I am also planning to try other benefit box powders since I really like the formula- smooth, easy to blend and long lasting for me. My absolute favorite for this month and sure will be for long time.

Next is Marc Jacobs, Daisy Dream perfume. I don't need to say a lot. Love this floral scent and I feel like summer or spring when I wear this. Although the smell does not last long on me compared to my clinique happy heart perfume, I can always re-spray this since I love the smell. As I bought small size, I carry with me most of the times.  The bottle is so cute. Been wearing this perfume almost everyday for March. :)

That's it guys. Hope you enjoy my March favorites and mini reviews. I can't wait to write more of this monthly favorite posts.

My 25th Birthday Celebration, Outfits and Presents ~

Hello all,

13 February was my birthday and I went out with my bf to celebrate a bit. We first went to Topayoh Buddhist Temple to pray and after that went for my BD lunch at Todai buffet restaurant at MBS. I went there with my friends for dinner before and I love their variety of food /seafood and desserts. So, I went for lunch again with my bf this time. I find that their lunch menu is less than dinner menu and no ice cream also. sob! :(

After lunch, we went for movie date and watched "Unbroken" directed and produced by Angelina Jolie. At first, I thought I would not like it since it is world war II based movie and might be boring. But, I really really enjoyed the movie. It is based on the truth story about an athlete called Louie and how he survived in the sea and prisoner of war camps during world war II. The movie is really interesting, inspiring and beautiful. I recommend it to everyone. <3

BD selife :D

After praying :)

at MBS. My dress is from a shop called KissJane and I really love their dresses. My clutch is from New Look and shoes are from Charles & Keith :)

Todai Restaurant :)

Their seafood are just fresh and yumm :D

Desserts, my favorite part of the meal :)

with love <3

just found out that Todai is a korean restaurant and saw a lot of korean celebrities photos on their wall

Kiss to my favorite Unnie Kim Ha Neul ( korean actress )

On 15 February which is today, I went out with my bf, sis and friends for lunch to celebrate my birthday again. We went to "I am Kim "korean BBQ restaurant near School of the Arts. This is my first time there also and I would like to try so yeah.  They got quite a number of meats and vegetables, korean dishes like tobukki, rice cake, gimbap ( sushi ), fried potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. They also got seaweed soup and a few juices to choose. I forgot to take photo of the food.
I think I am Kim is cheaper than other korean BBQ restaurants like seoul gardens, ssikkek etc. Their meat is nice  ( especially pork belly ) and service is good too. ( manager) One thing that is different from other korean shops is that they have korean boys bands posters on their walls and quite a number of Tvs showing korean boy/girls bands MTVs.Recommend this shop for hang out with your friends. :)

Group photo before eating and ready to eat :D

just a little cakeee :)

ootd. My dress is from Forever 21 :)

Just a little collage photo of what I got for this year birthday. UD Vice 3 palette from my sister, Miss KG by Kurt Geiger navy blue court shoes from my bf, Sephora gift card from my sis thiri and bro sai lyan and Victoria's Secret Ultimate Bombshell essential make up kit from my bestie. :)
I really really love all of them and of course they know my likes and tastes.

I can't describe enough how much I am grateful to be surrounded by them in my life.
